Rain forecast in most of BD, heatwave persists in some areas

Dhaka, June 11 - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain, thundershowers for most parts of the country according to it later weather bulletin on Tuesday.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy rainfalls at places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. 

Meanwhile, the mild to moderate heatwave affecting Khulna division and Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Pabna, and Patuakhali districts, is expected to continue, said the bulletin.

Day and night temperatures are likely to remain mostly unchanged across the country. However, due to excessive moisture content the discomfort may persist. -UNB
