Mild cold wave sweeping over parts of the country: BMD

According to Met experts, The ongoing mild cold wave may spread



Dhaka, Jan 09 - A mild cold wave is sweeping over parts of the country and it may spread, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said on Thursday.

“Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Panchagarh and Chuadanga and it may spread,” according to the regular weather bulletin.

Night temperature may fall by 1-2°C and day temperature is likely to rise by 2-3°C over the country, it said.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky across the country.

Country’s lowest temperature 9.1 degree Celsius was recorded in Rajshahi’s Badalgachhi on Thursday while the highest temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf on Wednesday.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining Western part of Bangladesh.

Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending it's trough to North Bay.-UNB
