The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rainfall in several regions, including Dhaka, over the next 24 hours starting from 9 am on Tuesday.

According to a BMD bulletin, "Rain or thunder showers with lightning and brief gusty winds are likely in one or two areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions."

In addition, a mild heatwave is currently sweeping through the districts of Faridpur, Madaripur, Jashore, Noakhali, Feni, Chattogram, Bandarban, and Rangamati, though it is expected to ease in some areas.

Temperatures during the day and night may decrease slightly across the country.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area in the central part of the South Bay has shifted slightly northwest and is now located over the Southwest Bay and adjacent Southeast Bay as of 6 am on Tuesday. It is expected to continue moving northwestward over the next 12 hours, and then shift northward.

Additionally, a trough of low pressure is positioned over West Bengal and the surrounding region.
