Low pressure area over Bay intensifies into well-marked low

Dhaka, May 28 -The low pressure area over the Northwest Bay and adjoining area intensified into a well-marked low over the same area.
“It is likely to intensify further,” said a Met office bulletin on Wednesday.
Southwest monsoon has advanced up to Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions and eastern part of Dhaka division, it said.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely at most places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions, it said.
It also predicted rains at a few places over Rangpur & Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions.
Day temperature may fall by (1-2)°C and night temperature may fall slightly over the country in 24 hours commencing 9am on Wednesday. - UNB
