Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rains across the country including Dhaka division in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Wednesday.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.

The axis of the monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, the center of a well-marked low, and extends to Assam across the southern part of Bangladesh.

The monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over the North Bay, reports UNB.

Meanwhile, day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
