A 12-feet-long python before its release in the wild in Kalapara on Monday.
Patuakhali: A 12 feet long Burmese python was rescued and released to the forest by the Kalapara branch members of Animal Lovers of Patuakhali.
The snake was recovered from an abandoned house in East Madukhali village of Mithaganj Union of the upazila around eleven o'clock on Monday night. Later on Tuesday afternoon, with the help of the Upazila Forest Department, the snake was released in the reserve lembur forest of Kuakata.
Animal Lovers of Patuakhali's Kalapara branch team leader Rakayet Ahsan said, 'We rescued the snake when the locals informed us after seeing it in an abandoned house. Earlier also we rescued several wild animals and released them to the forest.' - Gofran Biswas Palash
