Ex-MP Azizul Haque Arzu relived of rape case for marrying victim

A Dhaka court has relieved former Awami League lawmaker Khandokar Azizul Haque Arzu from the charge in a rape case after he got married to the victim.

Judge Begum Shamsunnahar of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-5 of Dhaka pronounced the order on Wednesday.

Earlier on March 13, the court granted bail on condition of getting married to the victim. Following the condition, former lawmaker from Pabna-2 got married to the girl. - Special Correspondent
