Patuakhali: On the 93rd birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Necha Mujib in Kalapara of Patuakhali, sewing machines were distributed among needy women and checks among social forestry beneficiaries. On Tuesday morning at 11 am, local MP Principal Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib distributed sewing machines and checks among the beneficiaries as the chief guest.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) Kaushik Ahmed, Principal Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib MP spoke as the chief guest in a discussion meeting, sewing machine and check distribution ceremony on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sheikh Fazilatun Nesha Mujib, organized by the Upazila Administration and Women Affairs Department in the upazila administration meeting room. Upazila Chairman (Acting) Shahina Parveen Seema, Upazila Vice Chairman Shafiqul Alam, Women Affairs Officer Taslima Begum, Coastal Forest Officer (SFPC) Md Monirul Islam, Kalapara Police Station OC Ali Ahmed, Latachapali UP Chairman Anshar Molla spoke in the program as special guests. .

In the speech of the chief guest at the event, Principal Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib MP said, "Bangamata inspired Bangabandhu to lead the struggle for freedom by standing Bangabandhu's side. So her

contribution in the Great War of Independence is unforgettable. On her birthday on 15th August and 3rd November, I wish peace to the souls of all the martyrs who were martyred. Besides, I call on the countrymen to take a stand for development and democracy under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina to stop the anarchy of Jamaat-BNP.

At the end of the discussion meeting, 8 needy women were given sewing machines and SFPCs from the Directorate of Women Affairs, 20 beneficiaries of Coastal Forestry Social Forestry were given 7 thousand 4 hundred  25 taka check as dividends, 4 thousand 6 hundred 80 taka to 18 people and 22 thousand 10 taka to Nilganj UP Chairman. - Gofran Biswas Palash
