Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate hajj programme at the hajj camp in the capital’s Ashkona area on Friday.



Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate hajj programme at the hajj camp in the capital’s Ashkona area on Friday.

Md Motiul Islam, Additional Secretary (hajj section) of Religious Affairs Ministry, on Thursday said the prime minister will open the hajj programme and later will exchange greetings with the hajj pilgrims, according to a news portal.

The first hajj flight is scheduled to take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Saudi Arabia at 2:45am on May 21, the Additional Secretary said.

The hajj is expected to be held on June 27 subjected to the sighting of the moon.
