Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman blames US for fuel crisis

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has criticised American officials who blamed Tehran for rising fuel prices, saying the public memory is not short enough to forget “who actually initiated the war of aggression”.
In a post on X, Baghaei said Washington created the crisis, which led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the disruption of commercial shipping.
Baghaei also questioned whether blaming the victim of an unlawful “war of choice” should be viewed as strategic brilliance or a textbook symptom of “The March of Folly”, reports AL Jazeera.
