Gaza reconstruction plans fail to address funding as genocidal war continues

“This is not new,” he told Al Jazeera. “Thirty plans have been prepared under the title Gaza reconstruction.”

Shaban says most of the plans “have not answered the key question: Who is going to fund the [reconstruction]?”

“Everybody talks about the reconstruction of Gaza, but the reality is completely different. The war continues,” he said.

The lack of a political process and governance structure is making countries reluctant to provide support, Shaban maintained, reports AL Jazeera.

“Countries are not ready to support Gaza for many reasons; one is that there is no political path.”
