The head of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has condemned two attacks on Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport.

In a statement on Tuesday, GCC Secretary-General Jassim al-Budaiwi said that “targeting airports and civilian facilities constitutes a dangerous escalation,” calling the “targeting of civilian and vital facilities… an unacceptable hostile approach”.

Al-Budaiwi added that the international community should take a “firm stance against these attacks” which he said had been undertaken by the Houthis.

Saudi’s Civil Aviation Authority said the attacks on Monday evening injured three people, reports AL Jazeera.
