Close Secret Service agents quickly ushered US President Joe Biden to safety after a vehicle crashed into a parked SUV that was part of his motorcade.

The president and his wife, Jill Biden, were leaving his campaign headquarters after a meal with members of his re-election team.

"There was no protective interest associated with this event and the president's motorcade departed without incident," Secret Service spokesperson Special Agent Steve Kopek said in a statement.

The Wilmington Police Department said it was investigating the collision, which did not result in any injuries. - BBC News
