Botswana national gets death penalty in narcotics case

A Dhaka court has awarded death penalty to Botswana national Lesedi Molapisi in a narcotics case filled over drug smuggling.Additional Metropolitan Session Judge, Court Number-8, Dhaka Md Aminul Islam passed the order on Monday.

Assistant bench officer of the concerned court Milon confirmed it today.
On January 23 in 2022, Lesedi Molapisi, 30, was arrested at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport along with over 3.145kg of heroin.
She arrived at the airport on a flight of Qatar Airways from South Africa via Doha.On the next day, a case was lodged against her with Airport Police Station, reports BSS.
