The death toll in Cambodia from clashes with Thailand has risen to 13, Phnom Penh's defence ministry said Saturday, with more than 35,000 people forced to flee their homes.

Spokeswoman Maly Socheata said the casualties included five soldiers and eight civilians. Fierce fighting erupted between the two neighbours on Thursday over a long-running border dispute, reports BSS.
