Tech College Principal beaten with hammer in Kalapara

Kalapara (Patuakhali): A terrorist beat a principal with a hammer in Kalapara, Patuakhali. Following the incident, locals rescued the injured principal Md. Abu Saleh and sent him to the Upazila Health Complex for treatment. The incident took place in the Eatimkhana area of Kalapara Municipality yesterday morning. Legal action is under process in this regard, according to victim family sources.

Eyewitnesses and victim family sources said that Ismail Talukder Technical College Principal Md. Abu Saleh was returning home from the Eatimkhana intersection area after his morning walk at around 8 am yesterday. At that time, a terrorist named Jasim from Kuakata, who identified himself as BNP, started hitting Principal Abu Saleh on both his knees and various parts of his body before he could understand anything. Later, the locals rescued Principal Abu Saleh and sent him to the hospital for treatment.

Principal Abu Saleh said in this regard, I have no dispute with that boy. I don't even know him well. Later, I learned that the terrorist boy's name is Jasim. His father Abu Sayeed Mia is a leader of Kuakata BNP.

Principal Abu Saleh also said that considering the safety of the treatment at the hospital, my relatives have brought me home. Legal action is under process in this regard.

Upazila Education Officer (Acting) Md. Moniruzzaman Khan said, I am not aware of this matter. However, it was not appropriate to hit a principal with a hammer like this.

Kalapara Police Station OC Md. Nazrul Islam said, no written complaint has been received in this regard so far. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is received. - Gofran Palash
