Two alleged female drug leaders with yaba pills
Patuakhali: Police arrested two women drug peddlers along with 655 pieces yaba in a raid from a rented house in Kuakata.
Mohipur Thana Police arrested them from a rented house near Alipur Bazar of Mohipur Thana at around 1 pm on Friday last night.
Arrested Rahima Begum (37) and Khodeja (32) are two sisters. They are residents of North Nunia area of Cox's Bazar district. The police said that they have been running the Yaba business from Kuakata area for a long time.
Abul Khaier, OC of Mohipur Police Station said, based on confidential information, we have come to know that two sisters smuggled yaba from Cox's Bazar from the house of a man named Alipur Chanmia and smuggled yaba to different parts of the country including Dhaka. Later a smart party of ours conducted a night raid and captured them with 655 pieces yaba.
A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at the Mahipur police station in this incident. - Gofran Biswas Palash
