Actor Alexander Bow becomes Karate Champion in Busan

Film actor Alexander Bow has won at an international Marshall Art competition in South Korea. The competition is named Busan mayors Cup Karate Competiion-2018. This year marked the 30th edition of the competition where fourteen nations took part including-Japan, Russia, China, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Indonesia.

The final rounds were held on June 1 and 2 at Busan Indoor Stadium. In the knockout rounds Alexander Bow took down Philippine, Macau and Russia one by one. Then at the final round he defeated the champion from Pakistan by six points. His win not only marks Bangladesh’s first win in the prestigious contest but also the country’s first entry into the contest. Apart from Alexander Bow marshall art sportsman, Parvez from Bangladesh has won the Bronze Medal at another event at the competition.
For his success he has expressed his gratitude to the Almighty, his mother, actor Rubel-who is also his first instructor and for providing diplomatic and bureaucratic support Sentu and Jewel.
Alexander Bow has said that before the competition he sustained injuries while shooting for a film in Bangladesh. His right ankle, right elbow and shoulder were seriously hurt, putting him into tension about his success in the competition.
The actor-cum-fighter has said that he became champion in six national Karate Competition from 1992-98. Then in 1997 he became champion in the South Asian Karate Championship in New Delhi. He also became runner-up in the European Karate Championship in Russia in 1998.
