AFC U-16 Women’s Champs: Bangladesh lose to Japan 0-3


Dhaka – Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Football team conceded their 2nd successive loss in the eight-team final round of the AFC Under-16 Championship as they were defeated by Japan by 0-3 goals at IPE Stadium in Chonburi, Thailand on Thursday.Forward Moko Tanaka fired the net first in the 13th minute of the game for Japan while midfielders Moe Nakae and Yuzuki Yamamoto extended the winning margin scoring in the 31st and 39th minutes respectively.In their remaining last match Bangladesh will play World Cup-playing Australia on Sunday (Sept 17) at IPE Stadium.Bangladesh started their campaign in the four-team Group B with a 0-9 defeat against defending champions North Korea September 11.
