Rezwana Choudhury Bannya for Tagore songs, Swapan Basu for folk and Debashish Bhattacharya for guitar
Tagore singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya was honoured with the prestigious “Sangeet Maha Samman” award in Kolkata, India recently.Geetosri Shondha Mukhopaddhay presented the award at the opening ceremony of “Bangla Sangeet Mela.” Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the festival.
The eight day festival will take place in nine theatres and auditoriums with 1,800 artists attending the event.
A total of eight singers received the award this year. Rezwana Choudhury Bannya for Tagore songs, Swapan Basu for folk and Debashish Bhattacharya for guitar. They received a crest, a certificate and Rs1 lakh each.
The festival will end on 30th December.
