‘Brihonnola’ has been chosen as the best movie at the National Film Award 2014.Murad Parvez directed the film funded by the government.Jahidur Rahim Anjan has won the award for the best director for ‘Meghomolllar’.Bidya Sinha Saha Mim shared the best actress award with Arifa Zaman Moushumi.Moushumi won the award for her performance in ‘Tarkanta’.Mim was the heroine in that film. But she got the award for her performance in ‘Jonakir Alo’.Ferdous Ahmed has been picked as the best actor for the role he played in ‘Ek Cup Cha’.Actor Syed Hasan Imam and actress Rani Sarker have been given for lifetime achievement award.The information ministry announced the names of the winners under 26 categories on Thursday.

Masud Pathik’s ‘Nekabbarer Mohaprayan’ has won five awards, the most. ‘Desha – The Leader’ won four.Mahfuz Anam James has won the best singer award for the song ‘Potakata Khamchate Kokhono Ase Jodi’ in ‘Desha – The Leader’.The best actor in negative role has gone to Tarik Anam Khan.The film ‘Boishommo’, directed, written and produced by Head of English Service and Broadcast Training Adam Dawla, has won awards under two categories.Abir Hossain Ankon, who starred in the movie, won the best child actor award while Mohammad Hossain Jemmy took home the best cinematographer award.
