Condemning attacks on the leaders of anti-quota movement, Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury-led Jukta Front on Sunday said the brutality against students is unexpected.
In a statement, B Chowdhury, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president ASM Abdur Rob and Nagorik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, “We can’t but get scared about the country’s future after Saturday’s incident.”
They warned that those carry out such incident out of their arrogance of power forget that power is not a permanent matter.
“All the students are our children. So, we don’t expect any brutality against them,” the statement said.
On Saturday, some members of Bangladesh General Students’ Rights Protection Council, the platform of students that led the quota reform movement, were injured in an attack allegedly by some BCL activists on the Dhaka University campus.
