City cleaner, motorcyclist killed in accidents in capital


Two people, including a city corporation cleaner, were killed in separate accidents in the city on early Wednesday.
The victims were identified as Asadullah Selu, 45, a cleaner of Dhaka South City Corporation, and Md Masud, 18, a motorcyclist.
Sources at the DMCh said, Selu was engaged in road cleaning in front of Basabu Boddhya Temple at about 3:00 am Suddenly, a speedy vehicle hit him and fled from the scene.Local people rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he was declared dead.
Son of Dewan Ahmed, Selu was residing at Dhalpur.
Earlier at about 1:30 am, a speedy truck hit Masud when he was crossing AB Bank of Arambagh by a motorcle.
Masud was first rushed to a near by hospital and then shifted to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries at about 6:45 am.
Son of Abul Hossain, Masud was a resident of Armabagh. The two bodied were sent to DMCH morgue for postmortem. – News Desk
