‘Militants’ bodies not yet removed from C’nawabganj den


Chapainawabganj, Apr 28 – The bodies of four militants, who were killed during Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)’s operation in Shibnagar Trimohoni militant den in Shibganj upazila on Thursday night, have not been removed from the house till Friday morning.Habibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said a team Criminal Investigation Department (CID) entered the house for conducting an investigation on Friday.
However, no case was filed in connection with the incident till filing of this report at 11:30 am.
Besides, Sumaiya, pregnant wife of Abu, who was rescued during the drive, was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Earlier, four militants, including Abu, were killed during SWAT’s operation codenamed ‘Eagle Hunt’ in the militant den on Thursday.
Abu’s four-year-old daughter Sahida was also rescued from the den and sent to Sadar hospital.
The SWAT team started its operation at the militant hideout around 9:15 am on Thursday. – UNB
