Momen urges private organisations to advance scout movement

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has urged private organizations and individuals to step forward along with the government to advance the scout movement for building the new generation as worthy citizens.  

"Everyone should come forward to support Bangladesh scouts foundation to advance the noble endeavor of scout movement," he said.

The foreign minister was speaking as the chief guest at the 5th National Convention of Bangladesh Scouts Foundation at Dhaka club in the capital on Saturday evening.  

Through scout movement, he said, it is possible to build skilled workers and leaders, who would play vital role in building 'Sonar Bangla (Golden Bengal)' dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports BSS.

Presided over by Bangladesh Scouts Foundation President Dr M Abdul Karim, the programme was also addressed by Secretary of financial institutions division under finance ministry, Bangladesh Scouts president M Abul Kalam Azad and chief national commissioner Dr M Mozammel Haque, among others.
