Dhaka – Debutant Mosaddek Hossain’s team highest unbeaten 45 helped Bangladesh score 208 for all in 49.2 overs against visiting Afghanistan in the 2nd match of the three-match ODI series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday,UNB news agency reported. Lone six hitter in the Bangladesh innings, Mosaddek came to the crease after Sabbir Rahman’s departure at 138/6 in 32.1 overs and played till the end to fire four boundaries and two sixes on the way to run-a-ball 45.In the 10th wicket, Mosaddek contributed 43 in 6.4 overs pairing with Rubel Hossain (10) who was fell victim of run out in the end while trying to take the 2nd run off a Naveen-ul-Haq delivering at 49.2
overs.Bangladesh Test cricket skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored 38 runs off 51 balls hitting 4 boundaries while Mahmudullah added 25 runs from 39 deliveries featuring three fours.The 3rd wicket pair between Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim added 61 runs in 12.5 overs before Mahmudullah was bowled out by Naveen-ul-Haq
at 111/3 at 25 overs.Mushfiqur Rahim followed Mahmudullah soon at 122/4 in 27.1 overs.Bangladesh touched the 100-run mark in 22.1 overs with a single by  Mahmudullah off a Rahmat Shah delivery when Mahmudullah was on 22 off 34 balls with three boundaries and Mushfiqur Rahim was batting on 27 off 33 balls firing four boundaries.Both openers — Soumya Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal — stayed for 20 runs
each. Soumya faced 31 balls to fire two boundaries before he was caught by Hashmatullah Shahidi off Mirwais Ashraf’s bowling.Tamim departed at 45/1 in 10.4 overs facing 36 balls to hit three boundaries and was caught by Dawlat Zadran off a Mirwais Ashraf delivery at 45/1 in 10.4 overs.Bangladesh got off to a good start in the match as they collected 43 for no loss in 10 overs. However, they collected only 27 runs in 10.4 overs (from 138/5 in 32 overs to 165/9 in 42.2 overs) for the cost of
five wickets — Shakib Al Hasan (17), Sabbir Rahman (4), Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (2), Taijul Islam (10) and Taskin Ahmed (0).Rashid Khan bagged three wickets for 35 runs in 10 overs while Mohammad Nabi and Mirwais Ashraf grabbed two wickets each for 16 and 23 runs respectively.
