A two-day film festival is going to be held in remembrance of legendary filmmaker Zahir Raihan on August 18 and 19. Titled as Zahir Raihan Festival, the two-day event with the slogan ‘Protirodhe Camera Prostut’ will be held at the auditorium of Music, Recitation and Dance Center of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at Segun Bagicha in the capital.

On the opening day, on August 18, Zahir Raihan-directed The State is Born will be screened at 12pm, while Tauquir Ahmed’s Oggatonama will be screened at 2:30pm, Kamar Ahmed Simon’s Ekti Sutor Jobanbondi at 5pm and Tanvir Mokammel’s Jibon Dhuli will be screened at 7pm.

On the second day on August 19, short film Punorabritti will be screened at 10am, short film Upasanghar at 10:30pm and Zahidur Rahim Anjan’s full-length feature film Meghmollar will be screened at 11am.
