Two women killed in Lalmonirhat road crash

Two women were killed in a road accident on the Rangpur-Kurigram highway in Sadar upazila here this morning.


The deceased were identified as Jamila Begum, 41, daughter of Azim Uddin of Dhamer Kuti Fakirer Takiya village and Fajila Begum, 55, daughter of Fazlul Haque of Mustafi village in the upazila.

Police said the two women went out for morning walk this morning when a speeding truck lost control and ran over them, killing both on the spot, reports UNB.

Officer-in-Charge of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station Saad Ahmed confirmed the incident and said legal action would be taken in this matter.
