Another scientific officer, who sustained injuries in Savar road accident on June 5, passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) .



Another scientific officer, who sustained injuries in Savar road accident on June 5, passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment.
With the latest death, the total number of deaths in the road accident rose to six.
The deceased was identified as Farhana Islam, 35, was a Scientific Officer (Nuclear Science) of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) at Savar and a former student of the Department of Geological Science (35th batch) at Jahangirnagar University.
SM Majedul Islam, assistant officer of the Atomic Energy Commission, confirmed the matter on Thursday (June 9) morning.
Farhana was first rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital on Sunday. Later, she was shifted to the ICU at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) as her condition deteriorated, he said.
Five people, including three scientific officers of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), were killed and some 15 to 20 others injured in a three-way collision in Baliapur area of Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka on Sunday (June 5) morning.
