A woman was killed in a head-on collision between a van rickshaw and a power tiller tractor in Shibganj upzila of Chapainababganj on Saturday.
A woman was killed in a head-on collision between a van rickshaw and a power tiller tractor in Shibganj upzila of Chapainababganj on Saturday morning, police said.
The deceased was identified as Lalbanu, 52, wife of Nabab Ali of the Jahurpur area of the upazila's Mobarrakpur union.
Chowdhury Jobayer Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Shibganj police station, said the accident in the Kansat Bashpatti area of the upazila around 8am left the woman on the rickshaw critically injured.
"Locals rushed the woman to Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared her dead on arrival," he said.
