30 injured as bus collides with covered van in Dhaka

A passenger bus collided head on with a covered van at Dhamrai upazila in Dhaka on Tuesday (December 27), leaving at least 30 people injured.



A passenger bus collided head on with a covered van at Dhamrai upazila in Dhaka on Tuesday (December 27), leaving at least 30 people injured.
The incident took place on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Balitha area at around 8:00 am.
Sohel Rana, station officer at the Dhamrai Fire Service and Civil Defence, said a passenger bus collided head on with a covered van while overtaking another vehicle in Balitha area, leaving at least 30 people including the covered van driver injured.
On information, firefighters rescued the injured and took them to nearby hospitals for treatment.
However, no deaths were reported instantly, Sohel Rana added.
