Two killed in Munshiganj road accident
Two persons were killed and nine others injured in a road accident at Gazaria upazila in Munshiganj district early Sunday .
Two persons were killed and nine others injured in a road accident at Gazaria upazila in Munshiganj district early Sunday (March 5).
The deceased were identified as Dulal Mia, 60, son of late Abdul Khalek Mia, and Mohammad Hossain, 10, son of Aktar Hossain. Both hailed from Titas upazila of Cumilla district.
Police said six persons were going to Titas upazila of Cumilla from Dhaka by a micro bus. On the way, a covered van rammed the micro bus from behind in Baushia area around 3:30 am. The micro bus overturned and fell into the Dhaka-bound lane. Meanwhile, a passenger bus hit again from behind, causing the micro bus to twist and turn. Dulal Mia and Mohammad Hossain died on the spot.
Nine passengers of the two vehicles were injured in this connection.
On information, police recovered the bodies from the spot.
Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost in-charge ASM Rashedul Islam said legal steps were under process in this regard.
