Hit-and-run accident kills traffic sergeant in Ctg

Traffic sergeant Mozahid who was killed in Chattogram accident on Tuesday.



Chatttogram, March 14 --A traffic sergeant died after a private car hit him in Chattogram's Halishahar area on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Mojahid, 32, a sergeant of the Port Zone Traffic Department.

Sub-inspector (SI) Nurul Alam Ashik, in-charge of CMCH police outpost, said the incident happened around 11 pm at Toll Road area of Chattogram's Halishahar.

A speeding car hit Mojahid while he was performing his duty — leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
