Truck-auto rickshaw collision leaves 3 dead in Sunamganj
Three people were killed and one was injured as a truck collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Haluagaon in Sunamganj town on Tuesday morning.
Three people were killed and one was injured as a truck collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Haluagaon in Sunamganj town on Tuesday morning.
One of the deceased was identified as Md. Soil Mia, 50, resident of Mazidpur village of Jagannathpur upazila while the others could not be identified yet.
Locals said that the accident occurred when the Jagannathpur-bound auto-rickshaw collided with a Sunamganj-bound truck at Haluagaon , leaving the auto-rickshaw driver and its two passengers dead on the spot.
Police recovered the bodies and sent to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, Ikhtiar Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Sunamganj Sadar Police Station.
However, the truck driver managed to flee the scene immediately.
