Bus hits motorbike killing 2 in Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar, Mar 15 - A biker and his pillion rider were killed when a bus hit their motorcycle in Baniachara area of Cox’s Bazar’s Chakaria upazila.

The accident occurred at around 10 am today on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ismail Siddiki and Arman Shakil, residents of Bandarban’s Lama upazila’s Faitong area.

Imran Chowdhury, of Chiringa Highway Police Station, said a Cox’s Bazar-bound bus of Greenline Paribahan hit the motorcycle and left the two dead on the spot.

Police seized the bus, the driver fled the scene. Legal proceedings are underway, he said. - UNB
