Two people including a schoolboy died after a bus hit them in Nalchity upazila of Jhalakathi on Thursday morning.



Two people including a schoolboy died after a bus hit them in Nalchity upazila of Jhalakathi on Thursday morning.
The deceased are Turzo Bhattacharjee, a class ten student of ZA Bhutto High School and son of Milon Bhattacharjee at Bakerganj, and Md Akash, a rickshaw-van puller.
According to police and locals, the deceased were talking to each other in front of the school in Shimultola area when a Patuakhali-bound bus of Al Amin Paribahan from Barishal ran them over around 9:00am, leaving both dead on the spot.
Later, students of the school blocked Patuakhali-Barishal road for two hours demanding arrest of the driver.
Officer-in-Charge of Nalchity Police Station Ataur Rahman confirmed the news.
