Motorcyclist killed in Bogura road accident

A man was killed after a truck rammed into his motorcycle at Shahjahanpur upazila in Bogura district on Sunday.



A man was killed after a truck rammed into his motorcycle at Shahjahanpur upazila in Bogura district on Sunday (March 19) morning.
The accident took place on the Bogura-Natore at Jamadarpukur area of the upazila at around 8.15 am.
The deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain, 35, son of late Torikullah, a resident of Sonakania village of the upazila. He used to do job at Quality Feed Company.
Quoting locals, sub-inspector (SI) of Kundarhat Highway Police Station Abul Hasnat said a speedy truck hit and ran over Sabbir’s motorcycle from its behind when he was going to his office riding on the bike, leaving him dead on the spot.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the body was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Police, however, seized the truck and arrested its driver Ashraful Islam.
Legal steps are under process in this regard, the SI added.
