Two killed in Tangail road crash

At least two people were killed in a road accident in Chituliapara area of Bhuapur-Bangabandhu Bridge road in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail on Friday .



At least two people were killed in a road accident in Chituliapara area of Bhuapur-Bangabandhu Bridge road in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail on Friday (June 2).

The deceased were identified as Shishir, 30, son of Afzal Hossain, hailed from Jabran village of Salla union of Kalihati upazila, and Antaz Ali Mandal, 65, son of late Jasim Uddin.

Locals said that two youths were heading towards Bangabandhu Bridge riding a motorcycle around 4:30pm. Meanwhile, the biker lost control over the steering and hit a roadside tree, leaving Shishir dead on the spot and injured another one. Later, the injured was taken to Bhuapur upazila hospital where he died under treatment.

Bangabandhu East police station Sub-inspector Palash confirmed the matter.
