2 crushed under trains in city
Two people were crushed under the wheels of separate trains in the city’s Kurial area.
Dhaka, Dec 30 : Two people were crushed under the wheels of separate trains in the city’s Kurial area near the Airport Railway station.
One of the deceased was identified as Al Amin Mollah, 30, son of Nuru Mollah of Ghoshairhat upazila in Shariatpur district. The Identity of the other person, aged about 18, could not be known yet.
Airport railway station police outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanu Mang said the unidentified teenager was killed at Kuril around 6 am being hit by a train.
Al Amin was killed in the same area being hit by another train around 11 am, he said.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy he said.
Nephew of Al Amin said he was supposed to fly for Saudi Arabia at 7 pm on Thusday.
Police said he was talking on his mobile phone while crossing the rail tracks, reports UNB.
