Two killed in Jhenaidah road accident

Officer-in-Charge of Jhenaidah Sadar Thana Md Shahin Uddin said the bodies were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.



Two people were crushed under the wheels of a truck in Sadar Upazila Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Ali Hossain, 60, and his nephew Mahfuzur Rahman, 20. Both were the residents of Rangiarpota village in Sadar Upazila. 

Local people said the accident occurred this morning in Panchmile area on Jhenaidah-Magura Highway. Ali Hossain and Mahfuzur were going to Faridpur boarding a Alamsadhu (motorised three-wheeler). The truck crushed them as the Alamsadhu overturned on the highway. They died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Jhenaidah Sadar Thana Md Shahin Uddin said the bodies were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.

A general diary (GD) was filed with Sadar Thana in this regard.
