Two killed as lorry hits human-hauler in Tangail

The accident took place around 8:30 pm Friday in Porabari area under Deulbari union in the upazila.



Two people have been killed and four others injured after an oil-laden lorry hit a human-hauler at Ghatail upazila in Tangail district.

The accident took place around 8:30 pm  Friday in Porabari area under Deulbari union in the upazila.

One of the deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam, hailed from Dhanbari upazila in the district.

Abu Salam Miah, officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station, said an oil-laden lorry hit a passenger-carrying human-hauler from the opposite direction, leaving on dead on the spot and five others injured.

Another succumbed to his injuries on the way to a hospital. Injured were admitted to Ghatail Upazila Health Complex, the OC added.
