Two killed in Dinajpur road crash

The accident took place at around 6pm on the Raniganj-Dugdugihat road in the upazila.



Two motorcyclists were killed in a crash between an easybike and a motorcycle at Ghorghat upazila in Dinajpur district on Sunday evening.

The deceased were identified as Binoy Chandra Das, 25, son of Bikari Chandra Das, a resident of Palsha Dewapara village, and Jitu Islam, 16, son of Taijul Islam, of Chouria village under the upazila.

According to witnesses, the duo was heading towards Raniganj from Dugdugihat, riding on a motorcycle. On the way, they collided head-on with a battery-operated easybike in Chouria intersection. They both was critically injured.

Locals rushed them to Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Dr Ahsan Habib, medical officer and on-duty doctor of the upazila health complex, confirmed the death matter.
