Four people, including a child, were killed early Friday morning in a tragic accident involving a bus and a microbus in Chauddagram, Cumilla.

The collision occurred around 6 a.m. in the Batisha Nanakara area. The microbus, which had lost control, crashed into a parked pickup van on the Dhaka-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway. Moments later, a Star Line bus traveling in the same direction collided with the microbus, resulting in the deaths of four individuals at the scene.

Mia Bazar Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rois Uddin confirmed the fatalities and provided details of the accident to the media. The identities of the victims have yet to be verified.

Local sources report that the pickup van was stationary when the microbus veered off course and struck it, leading to the devastating collision with the oncoming bus.
