A tragic gas explosion at a roadside eatery in Ruhitpur, Keraniganj, claimed the lives of three people on October 5. The victims have been identified as Elias, Mintu, and Shah Alam, as confirmed by Sohrab Al Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Keraniganj Model Police Station.

The explosion occurred around 7:30 PM at a local biriyani restaurant. According to Shahjahan Miah, Duty Officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, two firefighting units were deployed and extinguished the blaze by 9:00 PM.

Initial investigations revealed that the disaster was triggered when a bus collided with a rickshaw van, causing it to crash into a gas cylinder in the eatery's kitchen. The impact led to a devastating explosion and subsequent fire. Firefighters recovered the bodies from the scene amid the chaos.

The community mourns this tragic loss, and authorities are investigating further to prevent such incidents in the future.
