2 killed in bus-truck collision in Natore

Road mishap kills 2 in Natore



Natore, Oct 19 - Two people were killed and several others injured in a collision between a bus and a truck at Rezu Intersection in Baraigram, Natore. The injured have been taken to the local Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Shafiqul Islam, a representative of Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals, and Utsab Dutta, son of Paritosh Kumar from Puthia upazila, Rajshahi.

Sirajul Islam, officer-in-Charge of Baraigram Police Station, stated that the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Friday when a bus and a fish-laden truck collided head-on on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul Highway near Rezu intersection. Two passengers of the bus died at the scene.

Upon receiving the news, Bonpara Fire Service and police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, taking them to the hospital.-UNB
