Two Killed in Chattogram Motorcycle Crash

Two men, including a motorcyclist, lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Chattogram Elevated Expressway late Friday night. The incident occurred in the EPZ area when the motorcycle they were traveling on crashed into a lamp post.


The victims were identified as Md Moktar, 28, and Md Rubel, 36, both residents of the Sadarghat area.

According to Mohammad Akhteruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of the EPZ Police Station, the crash took place around midnight when the motorcyclist reportedly lost control of the bike while heading from Patenga towards Lalkhan Bazar. The impact of the collision was fatal, with both men dying at the scene.

Police were notified immediately and recovered the bodies, which were later sent to a local hospital morgue for post-mortem. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
