Four Workers Killed in Gas Line Explosion in Habiganj

A deadly explosion at a gas line construction site in the Bahubal upazila of Habiganj has claimed the lives of four workers, with two others suffering injuries. The tragic incident occurred around 9:00 am on Tuesday in the Dubaoi area of Putijuri Union, Bahubal, at a construction site for an industrial project under Akij Venture Limited.


The fatalities were confirmed by Zahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bahubal Police Station. While the workers have been identified as residents of Chandpur district, their full identities are still being verified.

The explosion, the cause of which remains under investigation, has raised concerns about safety measures at industrial sites. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation and provide assistance to the affected families.
