Two motorcyclists killed being hit by train in Gazipur

Two motorcyclists were killed as a train hit their motorbike at a level crossing at Ambag Kholapara in Gazipur city on Dhaka-Rajshahi rail line on Thursday night.


The deceased were Hafizur Rahman Ripon,45, and Mahmudul Hasan Chanchal,38, of Harinachala Housing area in the Konabari police station of Gazipur, reports UNB.

Hafizur was a jute trader while Mahmudul worked at a hospital.

According to police and witnesses said when Hafizur and Mahmudul were passing the level crossing a Dhaka-bound train hit their motorbike, leaving them dead on the spot.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Nadir Uj-Jaman, in-charge of the Joydebpur Railway Junction Police Camp said, the bodies were handed over to their families without an autopsy.
