2 killed in Khulna road crash

Khulna, 1 Feb – Two people were killed in a road accident at Arangghata in Khulna city on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Pushpen Sen, son of Nirmal Sen and Sourav Mandal, son of Provas Mandal of Dumuria upazila.
The accident occurred at Latar Bypass intersection around 9:45 pm when the motorbike carrying two people hit a pick-up van after being hit by the Khulna-bound bus from Afilgate, leaving Pushpen dead on the spot and Sourav injured, said officer-in-charge of Aranghata Police Station, Pradeep Kumar Mitra.
The injured Sourav died on the way to Khulna Medical College and Hospital.
