Woman killed after being hit by microbus in Dhaka

Dhaka,  2 Feb --A 31-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a microbus in front of Rajdhani Super Market in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Mariam, 31, wife of Shapon Mia from Nurullapur village in Laxmipur district.

According to witnesses, the microbus struck Mariam around 2:35 pm as she was walking along the road in front of the market, leaving her critically injured.

Her husband, Shapon Mia, rushed to her aid and took her to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her dead around 3:35 pm.

Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the police outpost at DMCH, said that the body has been kept in the hospital morgue. Further investigations and actions are underway.

The microbus involved in the incident has been seized by Wari Police Station.
